The International Workshop on Advanced Spectroscopy and Optical Materials, hosted periodically at the University of Gdansk, provides a forum for exchanging information on advances in solid-state spectroscopy, chemistry and physics of novel optical materials, applications of luminescent materials in science and technology.In the eighth IWASOM, we will focus much of our attention on students and young researchers, to whom we offer discounts on the conference fee and complimentary accommodation, as well as special program of tutorial lectures given by distinguished scholars covering advanced topics in spectroscopy and materials science.The upcoming edition of the IWASOM conference returns to its original venue: the renovated building of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics, and Informatics at the University Campus. The upcoming conference will bring a lot of exciting changes like poster exhibition and off-site session. The conference will also uphold its traditional social program.
